In the Manaslu Region, you cannot find numerous tea houses like the popular trekking routes of Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna Circuit trek. Due to difficult terrain conditions and offbeat paths, you can find a very limited number of local tea houses here.

Different seasons present various weather conditions in the Manaslu Region. However, considering the temperature, trail conditions, and comfort, the months of Spring and Autumn are regarded as the best time for Manaslu Circuit with Tsum Valley trekking.

Spring is the season of blooming, which means you can find greenery everywhere and in low-altitude areas. In high-altitude areas, the forest is covered with vibrant colors of Rhododendron flowers. The perfect view of the mountain peaks, breathtaking landscape, and longer day sunlight, many love to trek during the spring season.

Similar to the Spring, Autumn is another best time due to a clear view of the sky, stable water, dry trails, and moderate temperature. You can see many trekkers flow into the Manaslu region, and it is also peak time for trekking. Furthermore, autumn and spring are also the best times to cross the most challenging part of the trek, which is Larke La Pass (5,165m).

Winter is too cold for trekking in the Manaslu region. At high altitudes, the temperature goes below -15 degrees Celsius at night. Also, the shorter days, strong cold wind, heavy snowfall, and the chances of avalanches, only a few people embark during winter.

Summer means we can expect heavy rainfall and the risk of flash floods, avalanches, altitude sickness, slippery paths, and active blood-sucking parasites like leeches and mosquitoes. We suggest you avoid trekking in summer.
